In an era where timepieces are expected to transcend function and embody style, legacy, and innovation, Frederique Constant once again proves its mastery with the unveiling of the new Worldtimer Manufacture in 40mm, a co-creation with the distinguished collector community and producer Watch Angels.

Revealed during an exclusive launch, this latest timepiece reflects not only the Geneva-based maison’s relentless pursuit of horological excellence but also its continued dialogue with connoisseurs of fine watchmaking.

This is not merely a watch; it is a tribute to one of Frederique Constant’s most celebrated icons — the Classic Worldtimer Manufacture, reimagined for a new generation of collectors. Offering a more refined silhouette in a 40mm case, the new Worldtimer stands as a sophisticated evolution of the widely acclaimed 42mm original. It honours the original’s spirit while responding to shifting tastes in wearability and design, delivering a proportionally perfect expression of global elegance.

At first glance, the case design speaks volumes. Delicately balanced between structure and flow, it features a harmonious blend of brushed and polished finishes. The vertically brushed lugs and horizontally finished profile frame the polished bezel with architectural precision, exuding confidence without excess. Though housing a sophisticated complication, the design conveys a sense of slimness and fluidity on the wrist.

A key aspect of the redesign is its uncompromising clarity. With a three-dimensional approach to dial architecture, the city disk has been subtly inclined to enhance readability, while the date window has been removed in favour of a cleaner visual identity. The result is a perfectly legible display of 24 time zones, elegantly animated by the rotating 24-hour disk. Divided into day and night segments, it features a sun and crescent moon rendered in polished relief and details that subtly bridge mechanical function with poetic charm.

Within the case beats the in-house FC-718 movement, a testament to Swiss mechanical ingenuity. Comprising 139 components, it allows all adjustments, including time, date, and reference city – to be made via the crown alone. Its back reveals a sapphire crystal window into the calibre’s refined decoration: Côtes de Genève, perlage, and heat-blued screws that honour the traditions of fine Swiss watchmaking.

This latest chapter for Frederique Constant also introduces a new dimension in collaboration — one that speaks to the brand’s philosophy of listening and evolving with its audience. Created exclusively for collectors, the Worldtimer Manufacture in 40mm is a product not just of expert hands, but of community insight. It’s a timepiece designed to be worn and admired by those who understand the intimate relationship between watchmaking and identity.

Collectors can choose from four distinct interior themes curated by Kelly Hoppen Interiors — Indulgence, Luxury, Modern, and Monochrome, further personalising the ownership experience and linking contemporary taste with timeless values.

Frederique Constant’s partnership with Watch Angels, a firm known for empowering co-creations with collector communities, has resulted in a watch that is more than technically accomplished. It is emotionally resonant. The Worldtimer Manufacture 40mm is a milestone that not only reinforces the brand’s identity as a creator of accessible luxury, but also positions it squarely within the evolving narrative of modern horology: where tradition meets community, and where precision meets passion.
