When Faith Meets Design: Luxtop Unveils the World’s First Offline Voice-Activated Quran Corner in Dubai

At an intimate, invitation-only cultural evening held at its Dubai showroom, Luxtop Home Couture unveiled a pioneering expression of spiritual design: a fully offline, voice-activated Quran Corner, introduced as the centrepiece of its Ramadan Soul by Luxtop collection.

The unveiling coincided with both the official opening of Luxtop’s Dubai showroom and the brand’s first anniversary, marking a milestone moment that seamlessly blended faith, craftsmanship, and contemporary living. Far more than a decorative element, the Quran Corner was presented as a new way of experiencing spirituality within the home and we found it intimate, inclusive, and deeply intentional.

Unlike traditional prayer corners, Luxtop’s Quran Corner is envisioned as a living family space rather than a solitary retreat. Designed to naturally integrate remembrance into everyday life, it invites parents, children, and elders into shared moments of reflection, learning, and calm connection, reinforcing the belief that faith begins at home.

At the heart of the concept is a proprietary offline voice-activated system, developed with deep reverence for the Holy Quran. Free from internet connectivity, external networks, or smart integrations, the system responds to simple voice commands, allowing users to start or stop recitation and select specific surahs with ease. By eliminating digital distractions, the technology preserves the purity and sanctity of remembrance, making it accessible across generations.

Architecturally, innovation remains discreet. The technology is embedded within softly illuminated arches inspired by classical Islamic design, each functioning as a personal mihrab. The result is a tranquil, timeless space where sacred tradition and modern living exist in harmony, with technology serving faith, never overshadowing it.

The spiritual philosophy behind the Quran Corner is rooted in the ayah:

“So remember Me; I will remember you.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:152)

This verse guided the development of the Ramadan Soul collection, reflecting Luxtop’s belief that spirituality belongs not only in mosques, but at the heart of daily family life.

Beyond the Quran Corner, the evening also showcased author-designed Ramadan gifts, the MAJLIS COUTURE, The Seven Expressions collection created in collaboration with an Italian designer, and the launch of Luxtop Atlas, the brand’s first cultural journal exploring Ramadan as a way of living and the home as a spiritual space.

Founded in 1971, Luxtop Home Couture brings decades of artisanal heritage into contemporary design, with more than 5,000 high-end villas, hotels, and clubs completed worldwide. With the introduction of the Quran Corner, the brand presented more than a design innovation. It introduced an amanah: a sacred responsibility to create homes where faith, family, and thoughtful technology coexist in quiet harmony.
