Jani’s proficiency in multiple languages is not just a linguistic accomplishment but a reflection of her deep connection to varied cultures. With a Ph.D. in Brand Management, Jani ventured into the corporate world, excelling in the retail sector for two decades. 

Her career in brand development, buying, and retail took her across the globe, allowing her to immerse herself in different cultures and broaden her perspectives. Despite her professional success, Jani felt a calling to give back to society, leading her to embrace a path of philanthropy.

Artistic Endeavors

Jani’s artistic flair is as distinctive as her humanitarian efforts. She is an acclaimed artist known for her unique technique of painting with knives and blades on oils, creating art that is as emotionally resonant as it is texturally dynamic. She is an accomplished artist who paints with knives & blades on oils giving her art a raw, textured appeal and is a recipient of art awards from Spain, Italy & New York. 

Her work has earned accolades and awards in Spain, Italy, and New York, reflecting her artistic prowess and the depth of her creative expression. Jani has showcased her art at the prestigious Bentley Emirates showroom and at World Art Dubai.

Literary Achievements

In the literary realm, Jani made her mark with “Echoes of Light,” a poignant collection of short stories and poems that traverse the landscapes of emotion and experience in both English and Arabic. 

Her writing draws inspiration from the heartfelt connections she forges with the simple yet profound lives of people in the remote corners of the world. This connection to the human spirit is palpable in her narratives and resonates with the rhythms of life.

“Echoes of Light” is a testament to Jani’s ability to capture the essence of humanity in her work. The book touches on themes of kindness, hope, redemption, and compassion, urging readers to slow down and cherish the simple yet significant moments in life.

Foray into Film Production

Jani’s foray into film production was serendipitous, driven by a desire to support the vision of talented, independent filmmakers and artists. Her productions, including “Rainbow Fields” and “Jwlwi,” and the most recent “Gorai Phakri” (Wild Swans), are set in the scenic Northeast India, showcasing her dedication to bringing untold stories to the forefront. 

These multi award winning films focus on social messages relevant to society, further exemplifying Jani’s commitment to using art as a medium for positive change. Gorai Phakri is a all women cast film addressing the Patriarchy in a subtle yet powerful manner. The film opened at the Vancouver international film festival and has won multiple awards including the best film award at the Kolkatta international film fest.

Founding “Healing Lives”

Jani’s heartfelt turn towards philanthropy materialized in the form of “Healing Lives,” an NGO she established to support underprivileged communities in Kenya, India, and Bangladesh. 

This noble pursuit echoes the values instilled by her late parents, who were paragons of compassion, social betterment, and altruism. Through “Healing Lives,” Jani has made significant contributions to education, healthcare, and community development, embodying her commitment to making a difference in the world.

Life Between Continents

Splitting her time between the serene parts of Portugal and the bustling cityscape of Dubai, Jani travels extensively to spearhead the impactful initiatives of “Healing Lives.” 

Her life is an inspiring narrative of embracing cultures, igniting creativity, and nurturing compassion – it is a portrait of resilience and an unwavering dedication to making a difference in the world.
