Shereen Shabnam
The Ferretti Yachts 800 emerges as a marvel of modern maritime design, revolutionizing the experience of the sea. With its bold personality and innovative features, this new flybridge yacht melds elegance and functionality, focusing keenly on privacy and comfort.
Designed in collaboration with leading architects and the Ferretti Group’s own engineering department, the Ferretti Yachts 800 is set to transform the concept of cruising, providing unparalleled comfort and style in its class. The yacht’s aesthetic evolution is the handiwork of architect Filippo Salvetti for the exterior and IdeaeItalia for the interiors, ensuring that every line and space aboard the Ferretti Yachts 800 serves both style and function.
Turning to the exterior design, Ferretti Yachts 800 combines a modern aesthetic with the brand’s signature identity. The new design has a bold personality that projects the Ferretti Yachts range into the future, combining a sporty design with sophisticated detailing.
One of the characteristic features of this model is in fact the gradual slope of the flybridge’s lines down towards the stern, breaking with the tradition that they are parallel to the hull. The result is a perfect balance between timeless elegance, dynamism and impressive volume.
The interior design, a collaboration with IdeaeItalia, focuses on maximizing comfort and functionality. Innovative layout choices on the main deck, such as a dual-access galley and separate pathways for guests and crew, highlight the yacht’s intelligent design. The living areas are bathed in natural light, thanks to extensive glazing, enhancing the already spacious feel of the interiors.
Ideaeitalia focused its efforts on layout-related and architectural choices, aiming to enhance the elegance of the interiors. Continuing through the interiors, the salon is bathed in light thanks to extensive glazing, one of the signature features of the boat, which offers uninterrupted views of the sea and the surrounding area even when sitting on the sofa. The generous interior volumes are further enhanced by the exquisite arrangement of the furniture to maximise liveability and by the two-metre ceiling height
Moving past the living space, the dining area contains an elegant table seating eight. At the same time, the fully appointed and separate galley is directly connected to this space through a sliding section in the bulkhead. Separate walkways are another unusual feature of the boat, allowing the crew to enter the galley from the outdoor area and then access the wheelhouse without interfering with guest flows.
The exterior living area forward (14 m2) features a sunbed and a forward-facing C-shaped sofa designed for comfort. On the lower deck, the sleeping area consists of a master suite (18 m2), a VIP cabin forward and two guest cabins, providing a total of eight berths. There are four ensuite private bathrooms.
The flybridge area is also larger than the category average (40 m2) thanks to the sleek, arched profile of the superstructure. On the starboard side there’s an al fresco dining area and table, with a generous storage compartment under the fibreglass sofa, while on the port side there’s a bar unit with optional stools. The freestanding furnishings such as the chairs and pouffe are by Talenti. The helm station forward offers comfortable seating and excellent visibility. Significant features include vast windows that provide expansive sea views and a strategically placed optional sliding door in the salon to enhance privacy without sacrificing openness. The yacht’s layout optimizes every inch of space.
Powered by twin MAN V12 engines, the Ferretti Yachts 800 can achieve a top speed of up to 31 knots, with a cruising speed of 27 knots in the optional configuration, combining performance with the elegance and comfort that Ferretti is known for. This yacht not only promises luxurious journeys but also introduces new standards in yacht design, tailored for those who seek a fusion of performance and sophistication on the open sea.
