The 2025 Emeya marks the brand’s debut in the luxury electric grand tourer segment, bringing together its racing DNA with the demands of a connected, conscious, and comfort-driven lifestyle. I took the Emeya to the streets of Dubai to see how this futuristic four-door performs in a city that celebrates performance and luxury like no other. My drive experience was electrifying, both in spirit and in execution.
Exterior
The Lotus Emeya makes an instant impression with a sleek silhouette and sculptural bodywork that hints at the brand’s motorsport roots while carving out a new electric identity. The design is punctuated by intelligent aerodynamic elements, a dynamic rear spoiler, active air flaps, and smooth body lines that not only look the part but serve critical performance functions. Every detail contributes to drag reduction, grip, and high-speed stability, which I could feel during my road trip to Abu Dhabi.
Interior
Inside the cabin, it feels like a luxury lounge with a tech-forward cockpit. The Carnelian-coloured upholstery, accented with carbon fibre trim and a two-tone orange and charcoal leather steering wheel, creates an atmosphere that is warm yet futuristic. The interior is refined, without the cold sterility often seen in modern EVs. Key features include a massive 55-inch head-up display, a stunning OLED infotainment system powered by Unreal Engine, and immersive Dolby Atmos sound via KEF Uni-Q™ speakers. Everything feels intentional, from the sculpted sports pedals to the NFC-enabled card key.
Technology
The Emeya doesn’t just house technology—it integrates it beautifully. The infotainment system is as responsive and dynamic as any luxury smartphone interface, delivering crisp 3D visuals with lightning-fast responsiveness. From climate control to performance settings, everything is intuitively at your fingertips. There’s also a clear focus on comfort and convenience, with automatic four-zone climate control, adjustable rear vents, and a car greeting sequence that feels like the vehicle knows you’re approaching.
Underneath the elegant exterior lies a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system pushing out 450 kW (603 bhp) and 710 Nm of torque. On the road, the car’s air suspension, adaptive damping, and Integrated Chassis Control make for a ride that’s both sporty and serene. It’s composed, balanced, and unmistakably Lotus in how it hugs the road—even when pushing through high-speed curves. It’s a performance EV that delivers precision without punishing ride quality. Equipped with an 800V architecture and 350 kW DC fast-charging, it is one of the most practical cars for long-distance luxury touring.
