To mark the sports car brand’s 75th anniversary, LEGO® Middle East is collaborating with the third edition of Icons of Porsche, the region’s coolest gathering for classic Porsche cars and Porsche-themed art and culture. Calling all sports car enthusiasts, the glittering event will be held on the 25th and 26th November at The Slab, Dubai Design District.
LEGO Middle East will showcase its LEGO Porsche 963, LEGO Porsche 911 and Formula E LEGO Porsche 99X Electric models while inviting fans to experience the LEGO Dream Car Generator, an interactive, touchscreen installation allowing them to build their very own LEGO Porsche 963 on a virtual production line.
There will also be life-size LEGO creations on display including a unique Icons of Porsche mosaic and a desert oasis complete with camel and palm tree – the perfect spot for a memorable, not to mention Instagrammable, photo opportunity.
“Inspired to dream in full colour, LEGO Middle East and Porsche are both innovative brands painting the world in joyous hues,” said Ula Bieganska, Head of Marketing, LEGO MEA. “Vehicles have always been a part of the LEGO Group’s story and what better way to celebrate the 75th anniversary of this iconic car brand than with our own purpose-built installation dedicated to Porsche-themed LEGO play.”
A host of real as well as LEGO cars will be on show at the third Icons of Porsche, including the new Porsche Panamera, one day after its world premiere. The new fully electric Mission X hyper car concept will also be on display, while fans of the marque’s rich heritage will be thrilled to visit the Porsche Museum Heritage Truck.
Six experience zones themed on history, culture, performance and design await the 15,000 fans expected over the two days of the event. The third Icons of Porsche will also feature live entertainment, art installations, food stands, and Porsche-themed merchandise.
