With Project LIFE, Benetti has unveiled an 85-metre steel giga yacht that sets a new benchmark in the world of yachting, combining visionary design, advanced engineering, and a profound appreciation for the ocean. Recently introduced at an exclusive preview during the Palm Beach International Boat Show, this remarkable vessel is the shipyard’s most ambitious platform to date.
Designed to immerse guests in a dynamic connection with the sea, Project LIFE offers a lifestyle defined by freedom, elegance, and purposeful innovation. Sleek exterior lines by Espen Øino International balance refined geometry with striking presence. A tall, sharp bow enhances seakeeping and fuel efficiency, while panoramic windows fill interior spaces with natural light.
The yacht’s Beach Area is arguably its most defining feature—a spectacular 270-square-metre space open on three sides that invites guests to transition seamlessly between indoor and outdoor living. Here, vast fold-down terraces and an expansive swim platform blur the line between yacht and ocean. Sunlight filters through the glass-bottomed pool above, casting shimmering ripples across the Beach Club’s contemporary lounge and fitness spaces.
As evening falls, this area transforms into an intimate setting for entertaining, underscoring Project LIFE’s commitment to offering different experiences on every deck. “It’s a boat designed for life—an active life, a cool life, a relaxed life,” explains Espen Øino.
François Zuretti and his studio have brought a fresh, organic approach to the interior, eliminating barriers between inside and out. The Main Salon, spanning over 100 square meters, is framed by floor-to-ceiling windows that highlight ocean views from every angle. Soft lines, natural materials, and warm lighting create the feeling of a tranquil cocoon.
On the main deck, six guest cabins offer serene retreats, each with wide picture windows that flood the rooms with daylight. Above, the owner’s suite is a sanctuary of its own: a vast 98-square-metre space with a private lounge and a glass-enclosed skylounge that becomes a front-row seat to the ever-changing horizon.
The bridge deck aft features a remarkable outdoor dining area, complete with live-cooking stations for interactive meals. From relaxed lunches to sophisticated evening gatherings, this flexible space embodies Benetti’s philosophy of turning every moment on board into an occasion.
Beyond its striking aesthetic, Project LIFE integrates innovative technology to reduce environmental impact. The optimised hull works in concert with a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system, enabling high efficiency, lower emissions, and smooth cruising.
The yacht can run on non-fossil fuels such as HVO, drastically reducing its carbon footprint. Solar panels, seamlessly integrated into the superstructure, contribute clean energy to power onboard systems and recharge tenders and water toys. An advanced HVAC system cuts energy consumption by up to 60%, further reflecting Benetti’s focus on sustainability without compromise.
