Unlocking Automation and Digitization

A Q&A with Pankaj Chaudhary, Head of Sales – India and MEA, HID Identification Technologies

What are you showcasing this year?

This year, we’re showcasing our full portfolio, which includes track and trace technologies such as code readers, mobile computers, RFID readers, and RTLS solutions. These solutions enable automation and digitization, helping businesses reduce costs, gain visibility into their operations, and optimize ROI in the long run. We’re bringing all of these technologies into the Middle East market, and we continuously introduce new products and solutions.

How are these solutions helping enterprises in the UAE?

Our solutions help businesses digitize and automate processes that were previously manual. Technologies like barcoding and RFID allow companies to gain insights into their operations, such as asset tracking and inventory management. This improves operational efficiency, reduces costs, and ensures compliance with safety standards. By automating inventory tracking, for example, companies can reduce paperwork, keep optimal stock levels, and gain full visibility into their supply chains, which leads to better decision-making and cost savings.

How are you contributing to the UAE’s larger goals of security and digitization?

The UAE is a pioneer in adopting new technologies, and it’s a key market for us globally. We continuously innovate and introduce new IoT technologies here, with strong traction across industries like retail, warehousing, and government. We lead in sectors like waste management automation, and oil & gas, providing asset tracking and safety compliance solutions. By enabling businesses automate processes and ensure safety, we contribute to the UAE’s goals of enhanced security and digitization across various sectors.

What are your goals for 2024, and what new innovations can we expect from HID in the coming months?

Our main goal is to expand our portfolio and continue introducing new products and solutions. Recently, we launched the XR2 RFID reader, which integrates a five-inch Android system and allows customers to track inventory and assets in seconds, scanning up to 1,000 items in one second. We’re also bringing RTLS solutions for real-time visibility of assets and personnel, improving decision-making and safety in large environments like oil & gas. This year, we’ve also made some acquisitions to further expand our offerings. We’ll continue innovating to provide cutting-edge solutions to our customers and partners.

Do you have any expansion plans?

Yes, we’re continuously growing. Every year, we acquire new companies, and we’re continuously  expanding our portfolio further in 2024. These acquisitions complement our existing offerings and help us innovate, allowing us to provide enhanced solutions for our customers and maintain our leadership position in the market.
