Luxury is taken to new heights with the seven-seater Teramont, the largest SUV in the Volkswagen family as it comes with a bolder design as well as interior upgrades, advanced connectivity, a new digitalized cockpit, all at a price designed to draw attention in the crowded family SUV segment.
Interior
The Volkswagen Teramont offers a refreshed interior that is classic clean and functional, with a premium feel. Driver controls are positioned for optimal ergonomics and usability, and simple, driver-centric displays enhance involvement behind the wheel. The seat position, shifter height, and the spacing between the pedals are all designed for maximum driver comfort.
Exterior
The new Teramont is available in three different trim levels: from Trendline, Comfortline and Highline, with the option of adding an R-Line package to the Comfortline or Highline. The new and redesigned LED headlights are available as standard on all trim lines and highlights are the more aggressively styled front and rear bumpers and bold three-bar grille that extends into the front light signature, creating a more sophisticated presence. The side skirts emphasize the premium profile of the Teramont.
Safety & Performance
The Teramont comes available with two engines; 2.0L TSI 4 cylinder with 220HP, and a 3.6L FSI with 280HP. It provides a combination of both passive and active safety systems, engineered to meet all current safety standards.
For safety, there is a 360 camera, including rear view camera, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane assist, Park Assist, Park Distance Control and Front Assist with Autonomous Emergency Braking.
The Teramont also offers an Automatic Post-Collision Braking System. Passive safety features include three-point seatbelt for all seats, side-curtain head-protection airbags that cover all three rows, and a number of electronic safety systems, such as an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
Verdict
The Teramont adapts to every family’s needs and there are enough charging-points to keep everyone up to speed and there are enough storage compartments to keep the family belongings stored when on the move. It is perfect for big families and hence suitable for this region.
