While talking about cars and racing at the Autodrome one Friday afternoon, I got invited by a fellow petrolhead to try some classic levant dishes at Bebabel, located in the Dubai Mall’s new fashion avenue extension.
It took me a while to find the resttaurant that is set in a stylish contemporary setting, offering breath-taking views of Dubai’s most iconic fountain and Burj Khalifa.
Bebabel serves a mouthwatering selection of delicious hot and cold mezzes and wholesome main dishes. The menu features various egg dishes, talatas, salads, grills, mushrooms, cheese and soujouk served with fresh juices, teas and coffees all day. The dishes are made fresh and served in portions with sharing in mind. Hence it is a great place to visit with friends to try out a variety of dishes.
My hosts were from Iran and they knew the dishes at Bebabel well. They selected the venue because of the spacious ambience of the restaurant. The couple selected a grilled meat platter that was perfect to share while I enjoyed the seafood dishes.
For those who have a sweet tooth, it is recommended to try Bebabel’s famous knefeh and umm ali. I personally loved the Knefeh as it was crispy and not too sweet.
Bebabel is a modern, chic, innovative concept that offers a delicious breakfast menu and an all-day dining menu in strikingly elegant surroundings inspired by Levant culture.
