When the new Azera arrived home for me to drive for the week, what caught my eye first is the radical modern styling that radiates Sensuous Sportiness.
The Hyundai Azera comes equipped with SmartSense, Hyundai’s most advanced safety technologies. Loaded with intuitive features that heighten comfort and convenience and delivering powerful driving dynamics, the new Azera is truly in a class above the rest.
Interior
Brimming with cutting-edge technological innovations, the new Azera comes fitted with Hyundai’s Smart Sense technologies, which includes blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision avoidance, blind-spot collision avoidance, a driver attention monitor, and adaptive cruise control systems.
The car comes with a long list of comfort, entertainment, and safety features, including heated and cooled seats for the driver and front-seat passenger, a 64-color ambient lighting system, wireless charger, 360-degree cameras and a 10-speaker Infinity audio system.
For convenience, there’s also Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, the ability to play video off a USB and helps you de-stress by playing soothing sounds such as a lively forest, the sound of raindrops, or that of a warm fireplace.
Exterior
We like that the grille continues all around the car, the headlamp clusters, the wheel caps of the 19-inch alloy wheels, sensors for safety systems such as the adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance systems.
There are also functional vents on either side of the bumper to improve aerodynamic efficiency and a full-length panoramic roof. In the back, there is a full-length LED light bar that also gets the diamond design treatment and an extremely neat diffuser that gives you the impression of four exhaust outlets.
Drive Experience
The car is fun to drive in four different modes including Eco, Comfort and a Sports mode. The new Azera turns heads everywhere it goes and a joy to drive with its sporty, energetic character. It is a cut above the rest in terms of design and technology.
