Softlogic Unveils COCO by Cotton Collection, Celebrating Sri Lankan Craftsmanship

Softlogic Holding Middle East and Africa is bringing its long-renowned expertise in retail design to Dubai with the launch of COCO by Cotton Collection, a unique retail environment that seamlessly blends Sri Lankan artistry with contemporary aesthetics. All furniture, including custom display units, has been sourced from Sri Lanka, reflecting the brand’s commitment to authenticity and craftsmanship.

Located within Dubai Festival City Mall, COCO by Cotton Collection invites shoppers into a space inspired by the grandeur of Sri Lankan Walawwa, the iconic colonial house known for its architectural elegance.

As you step inside, each merchandise segment invites you to explore cozy nooks that evoke the warmth of a grand Sri Lankan home. Moving from one display to another feels like a leisurely stroll through beautifully interconnected rooms, where every corner tells its own story while remaining unified in a design deeply connected to nature.

The store showcases several key features that highlight its thoughtful design:

  1. Authentic Display Units: Custom-built displays crafted from handwoven rattan and richly grained wood, which celebrates Sri Lanka’s skilled artisans. The tactile quality of the rattan invites touch, while intricately designed wooden trellises offer an aesthetic charm, bringing natural materials to the forefront.
  2. Soft Color Palette: The store features a boho-inspired palette of earthy tones, pastels, and muted hues. This modern twist on colonial design creates a harmonious blend of rustic elegance and contemporary style, inviting a sense of calm.
  1. Wooden Attic (Soldaraya): A striking design element, the wooden attic cleverly conceals MEP services while maintaining the store’s aesthetic, adding colonial charm to both function and form.
  2. Incorporation of Nature: Lush greenery, hanging vines, and tropical plants breathe life into the space, enhancing the ambiance and reflecting the natural beauty of Sri Lanka.

Design challenges were met with creativity. Odd columns that initially seemed like obstacles were transformed into architectural features that complement the space’s flow. Softlogic’s in-house team tackled every detail – from design to execution – keeping the project firmly under their control to ensure that both quality and budget were upheld.
