Nissan debuted its all-new seventh-generation Patrol at a grand event in Abu Dhabi last night, marking a significant moment in the history of the iconic SUV. Under the theme “Nissan Patrol Middle East Odyssey,” the event celebrated the rich heritage of the Patrol and its enduring legacy of conquering the world’s toughest terrains. Nissan’s President and CEO, Makoto Uchida, unveiled the new Patrol in a dramatic reveal from between desert dunes, symbolizing its long-standing connection to off-road adventures.

The premiere, attended by over 600 guests—including royals, VIPs, global Nissan executives, and media—was live-streamed to audiences worldwide. The event featured presentations from top Nissan executives such as Alfonso Albaisa, Senior Vice President of Global Design, and Ivan Espinosa, Chief Planning Officer, highlighting the Patrol’s design evolution, engineering excellence, and innovative breakthroughs.

Makoto Uchida remarked, “The Patrol is the longest uninterrupted product line in Nissan’s history. Thanks to the dedication of our teams, it has consistently blended off-road capability with refinement and innovation. The Middle East has always had a deep emotional connection with the Patrol, making this region the perfect choice for the global debut of the seventh-generation model.”

The event was a celebration of the Patrol’s seven-decade journey, with performances blending Japanese and Middle Eastern traditions. These included a recital by an Emirati poet, a performance by the Japanese dance group Fabulous Sisters, and a stunning 3D mapping light display that merged the desert landscape with the adventurous spirit of the Patrol.

Guests were taken on a nostalgic journey through the Patrol’s history with a dedicated Heritage Zone, featuring earlier models from its 1951 origins as a rugged utility vehicle to its current status as a symbol of power and luxury. The tribute to the Patrol’s global drivers, with flags from nations where the SUV continues to thrive, emphasized the Patrol’s international reach and the loyalty of its drivers.

Thierry Sabbagh, Divisional Vice President and President of Nissan Middle East, KSA, and INFINITI, highlighted the significance of the Patrol in the region, stating, “The Middle East continues to play a pivotal role in Nissan’s global strategy, and the debut of the All-New Patrol here is a testament to the loyalty of our customers and the vital support of our regional partners.”

The all-new Patrol is powered by two engine options: a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 425HP and 700Nm of torque, and a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 producing 316HP and 386Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, enhancing performance and fuel efficiency.

On the exterior, the new Patrol retains its signature bold look, featuring a striking V-motion grille, Adaptive Driving Beam headlights, and a sleek full-width rear light bar. Inside, the SUV offers a luxurious cabin experience with advanced infotainment, including a 28.6-inch Monolith display and a Klipsch Premium Audio System.

With this new chapter, Nissan aims to strengthen the Patrol’s position as a global icon, seamlessly blending heritage, innovation, and power.
